Question Car Shakes, Jerks and rattles?

-Focus 2012 SEL Hatchback
-All Manufacture updates have been applied
-20,000 miles
-No accidents or mods, etc.

As the title says, my Focus will rattle and and jerk when my car is in first gear from 1k to 2.5k rpms. Same goes for second gear. It does it uncontrollably when I am going up a hill or down a hill. Not to mention you can also hear some clanking and sometimes my car will shift and then launch and my foot is not fluctuating on the pedal.

The reason why I am concerned is because Ford is telling me over the phone that it is normal and I'm almost sure it isn't. I have 3 friends with the same Focus and they do not have a problem like this. I am taking my car in this weekend but I wanted to know if anyone else has had this problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

Mine does this too. It is normal in the sense that this "issue" seems to be widespread and not a safety issue.

You can try to escalate this with the nice Ford people who patrol these forums, but you'll just get the same answer.
