Black Friday at Sears...

Any of you who buy tools at Sears, do you know what kind of Black Friday Deals they usually offer at Sears?

Too far off to tell, mid October you will find the teaser ad come out, but usually any hand tools,sockets, and boxes will be like 25-30% off, power tools, table saws, welding equipment will be 30-35% off. This is just from what I have noticed and is obviously subject to change

Thanks for the information. I guess I'm waiting till Black Friday. I was on Sears Site, and seen a 6 point shallow and deep metric / sae socket set for 1/4" and 3/8" one for 42.00 and one for $65.00 during labor day sales. I went to order tonight and they were $110. and $120. each. Twice the Labor Day price, so I defiantly missed a good deal! Looks like I'm waiting out black friday!

Since Sears is not in the best "financial situation" I would bet they may have some serious sales come Black Friday this year

My bet too, thus why I'm saving my money for this day. Thus is the season for tools for cheap with the economy they have been having massive deals every where.

You can also get some good tools very cheap from Harbor Freight if there's one near you or check them online. Have gotten several different impact sockets sets, extensions and so forth and have had no problems with them.

I would have gone w/ their ratcheting wrenches, but the handles are real short.

when i worked in retail... we'd see the ads about 2-3 weeks in advance, usually get a box of them just for signing and prep/planogram purposes. inventory usually started coming in around the same time but the bulk of the stuff came in the week to a day before.

so unless someone is really connected, they wont know until November.

Just keep watching... I've had a cart on Sears.com for about 2 months now (couple of Craftsman storage cabinets, work bench, and drawer units), and the total price has fluctuated from about $1200 to $830. I'm waiting to have the cash on hand...
