But you already said they don't allow sport versions of the car like an SVT focus. I would assume by extension that would mean svt parts.

So are you asking us "what can I get away with so I don't get caught?"

Because I have mixed feelings about that.

And running race gas for a car that isn't setup for it is just a good way to waste money.

Sounds like you need to have a discussion with the refs.

If you deck the head and use a stock head gasket then technically you still have all stock parts. Does that make it not "stock" goes it depends on who you ask?

What about suspension? Some parts naturally ware out. So do you have to have "OEM" equivalent shocks or sway bars or struts/ shocks? Or could you upgrade as long as you still have the same geometry and style of suspension?

Edit: after reading what all is done... this almost sounds like a semi demolition Derby... the last paragraphs would make me not put a dime into it....

I can run stock parts off of the svt because they dont know what they r looking at.the tech guys r lost on the 4 cylinder cars they just know v8 cars.it would be one off the other racers that see the stuff and have me pulled on that stuff.so i more have to hide it from them.there is a few that has ran nitros but just havent been caught.tom i am supost to get my xcal3 tomorrow ....heads up motorsports in spartanburg is who i got it thru.they r going to load a basic tune in it for me.will u still be able to dyno tune it for me.

Just looked this up, Tom, I'm a little rusty on the zetec stuff, but this is what I remember

The zx2 cams are like installing stg 1/2 cams not even stg1 cams

If your going to go through all the trouble to add cams , buy buckets , set valve clearances then why not install cams that will do some good

If you install 2 Intake Cam then te Intake and Exh valve will both open the same at the same time , wont work

Ok, Its been more than a couple of years since I've really messed with zetecs since after putting the svt motor in my s/r. But I'm back at it after all these years, now in the process of turboing it.

I think im going to go with putting stg 1 comp cams in they should get me alittle more power and not be noticeable to the average person. I was told just to lightin up my flywheel to about 12 to 14 lbs not to do the lightweight flywheel because it is to light

You wont gain any performance from lightening your Flywheel and you cant go to light with a Flywheel
Surface the head , tune , stg1 cams and SVT header these are your power gains

I think you just need to get more skilz! :-). I would still be nervous putting to much money I to it... any one could buy your car for $1500 and you would be forced to sell right? Or did I read that wrong? The deck work, cams, tune, and SVT exhaust will cost you more than that....
