tornado took out my car :(
There was a small EF0 tornado going down my street and it knocked down a tree right onto my focus :(





Has anyone dealt with rear hatch damage like this? I have full insurance but I don't want to total it.. I just put in my new recaros :(

Eek. That's a new hatch and quarter panel for sure, and there will be inner structure damage for that corner. See if you can take a slightly lower payment and keep a clean title, we had that option once for hail damage and did so to keep from totaling the car.

As it turns out, the tree that fell on my car was a dead tree and was marked for removal 3 months ago by the town.. but they never removed it. So technically the town is liable. Hopefully I can save the car and go after the town for the other damages.

Damn, sorry to hear. Glad noone was hurt. Hate to say it but I would guess it would probably be totaled. Usually if damage is 70%-75% of value of car they total it. Hope all works out for you in your favor.

i work at a body shop and you will be surprised with how they manage to let some cars get fixed. a lot worse then yours.
