idles rough

Hey everyone im mandi, n im new to the forum. I have a 03 2.0 spi It seems that it dont want to idle, it runs down the road purfect but when u stop at red light it wants to stall? Really just wanted some idea's befor i took it to a shop so they dont try to scew me over, lol ne help you can give will be appreciate it :D

Start with a new fuel filter, new plugs, clean the MAF with appropriate cleaner (parts store guys will help you get MAF cleaner) and if the SPI has a IAC (idle air control) pull it off and use some foaming cleaner by the brand 3 in 1, good stuff.

I know the spark lugs n fuel filter was done cause i took it to walmart. How hard is the IAC n MAF to get to?

MAF is in the intake tube, I am not sure if you have a IAC, I assume you do, I have a 2.3 Duratec, so the set-up is way different. Sorry I can't help more.

Oh, and not to sound like a dick, but I wouldnt trust walmart service to put washer fluid in. I do all my own work, a Chiltons or Haynes will save you big bucks with just basic hand tools.
