2.0 to 2.3 swapp

Ive read first of all. I want some thoughts of doing this swap? I was going to go turbo, but it seems as this is not going to happen. So I thought of doing the 2.3 swap. I have the Ebay IM, f2 header and full exhaust, with the fswerks cai. I know thes parts will swap over to the 2.3. Is there certain parts that i need? Mounts, relocation the ps? Things like that. Im hoping for 180whp and 150wtq. Thanks for any help

I think many are interested in this swap. We need a write-up or stickied thread with specific details and part numbers. Also, a kit would be nice or at least some pre-fabricated shims made to spec.

what would be the difference in upgrading to a 2.3 vs getting a 2.0 to 2.4 (stroked) engine from focus-power?

2.3L needs a tune to use the Computer, it will run without the tune but will be 15% to lean. You will need 1/2 spacer on the passenger mount to raise the motor, I used washers. may have a issue with the dipstick, this will need to be checked for your situation. should be no other issues I can think of..

Thanks for the help. I thought it was mostly a drop in. The littler things like the spacer is the info. im looking for. I figure a 2.3 swap. Theres nothing bad there. Just go turbo a little later with it. Ive looked around for 2.3 motors. I see them around $1100 shipped. Is that a good price?

OK price but thats a risk I would never do again unless I heard it run before bought it, a remanufactured motor is the way I went after getting burned on a used motor that has only 38k miles on it, was knocking the day it was installed and I hear that often, if you can spend the extra for Labor warranty

The 2.4 is a zetec, isn't it? Wouldn't that be a different install?
