To those that tried this install, did they give us our home page back(full screen wallpaper), or do we still have the screwed up 4 quadrant thing with all the garbage obstructing the view?

Since you're nitting... sometimes techies slang 'gb' to differentiate 'gigabits' from 'gigabytes' though it's most appropriate to use 'Gb' in that instance. Totally inappropriate here, of course, but there really is such a thing.

No there isn't. That's just an excuse used by people who don't know what they're talking about. There's GB and there is Gb. There is no gb.

Technically while "GB" is the most accepted form of Gigabyte, "gb" is also an acceptable abbreviation among us geeks who don't really care about proper use of grammar, would never mistake Gigabit for Gigabyte in the context of file size, and would rather focus on the discussion at hand.

Humm... any fixes to any of the glitches we've been finding since the v3 update? Promising that this is working, I never use the screen to control climate anyway so I may perform the update myself since the loss of climate controls won't matter to me.

EDIT: Downloading this now. Will upgrade once it's done. First thing for me is going to be checking the issues I know are 100% replicable to see what goes on with that.

Feta, if you haven't upgraded yet, run the the diagnostic mode before and after so you can see which software versions change.

Hold down the right seek button (to the right of the volume knob) and the CD eject button at the same time for a few seconds to enter diagnostic mode.

(I'm being a wimp and waiting for the official release)
