OP here again.

I, too, wanted the sport suspension and 18" wheels. It was a must have for me. That $595 is the deal of the century. The wheels are sporty and aggressive and fit well with the look of the car. The Michelin PS3 tires are over $200 each from TireRack. The downside is I'll need snow tires. Those PS3s will be useless. But coming out of BMWs the past decade and a half, I prefer dedicated summer and winter tires. All seasons are ok at everything and good at nothing.

I've got no problem with trunk size, I was just curious. Well, actually, I have one problem with trunk size. My golf clubs don't fit without folding a seat down! Though that's not really the car's problem, it's my problem. I should have brought my golf bag for the test drive. But I would still bought the car :)

Now you are going to start a TPMS or winter wheel/tire debate...

^^^This. The PS3's on the 18's are awesome, and imho none of the base wheels even come close to the looks of the handling package wheels. Despite the larger upfront cost of having to purchase winter wheels/tires, you have an all around better handling and safer car year-round.

That, and RACECAR.

Oh, there's no debate. I'm right :)

Seriously, I believe in the French doctrine of "chacun a son gout", roughly translated, "to each his own".

If all seasons work for you or anyone else on the forum, enjoy them. I don't mind paying extra for snow and summer tires, storing them, or having them mounted. The season-specific performance is worth it to me.

I have winter tires, on steelies, without the TPMS. It is 100% worth it for me, knowing my wife and yet-to-be-born daughter have condition specific tires keeping them safer. Plus, the additional $550 cost for steel wheels, caps, and winter tires is only $50 more than my insurance deductible. Driving in the snow with PS3s is a terrible plan.

Cool beans bball40. I guess I didn't see the humor/irony/sarcasm in your original post.

The other great thing about using snows is those expensive Pilots will last many more summer seasons.

Cheers,

Tim

I wonder about the origin of this word "subwoofer" which implies it will make frequencies lower than a woofer. Well woofers have been making 20 hz tones which is as low as the the best human ears can hear and doing it since like the 1930s for theatre loudspeakers so where does the "sub" come from? Did "subwoofers" first find use as woofers in submarines?

Here's a cool thread from some audiophiles-http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/subwo...vs-woofer.html

Amen brother amen! My only complaint is that Ford doesn't offer some of the options I wanted.
