New 2012 SE Sedan guy

"Welcome to the Ford family!" the friendly salesman said after handing me the keys as we stood on the lot next to my new wheels. "I've been adopted?" I asked with feigned disbelief. "Legally adopted!" he confirmed without a shade of a doubt.

G'day to everyone from "up north"!

The bank draft that I had handed over 10 minutes before for the downpayment *might* have had something to do with the enthusiastic welcome ...

Thanks!

As for pics, it's still *just* a stock SE sedan in Sterling Grey, with the imitation mag (i.e. "giant snowflake") wheel covers. I just found some alloy wheels online that I think will look great on this car - after the coming winter passes by, and I use the steels for snows:

Does anybody have these on already? *Those* pics will be even more cool!

Can't say I've seen one with those before, you may be the first.

Well, now I'm tempted to get alloy wheels before this winter - if I find a really good "end of season deal"! The reason for the sudded interest (besides the obvious ; ) is that I believe the reduced unsprung weight will improve the ride. With the steel rims, it sometimes feels like the strut damping isn't quite tight enough to control some jolts.

Anyone notice a difference in ride quality going from steel to alloy? ...
