procharger causes belt tensioner bottoming out

okay im trying to figure this out.

gone threw 2 new tensioner (1 gates, 1 dayco), all do the same thing. tried getting a 1/2" shorter belt on and can't.

idle the tensioner vibrates maybe 1/4"
snap the throttle or give it some gas the tensioner looses all tension on the belt and makes a loud "clack" from it bottoming out (and if you stay on the throttle it says close to being bottomed out). when the engine is off the tensioner is half way (in the middle of fully compressed and bottomed out)

all other pulleys are good, no play, vibrations/wobble and spin freely and are all aligned. pretty much everything spins smoothly but the tensioner is going ape shit.

removing the procharger solves this and the tensioner has very little movement.

has anyone else had a issue like this and corrected it?

I have the same exact issue with my vortech. It was really bad using the suggested belt size by vortech. But i was able to go a half inch shorter on my belt and correct about 75% of it. But it will still do it if the motor bogs. Pretty sure I am as small as i can fit on mine. I had to use a long handle ratchet wrench in order to get my tensioner far enough to get the belt on.

Issue was fixed, i was able to get a half inch shorter belt on with some help. now i wonder if its too tight as the tensioner hardly moved at all when i released pressure from it (i was pushing it all the way to the stop)

the tensioner still moves but not as much and it doesn't bottom/ clack anymore
