From what I understand that when u get rid of the vct you can actually hear the aggressive lope of the svt. You can hear a bit of lope at idle but you have to stand by the exhaust and listen so basically it should be more present?

That's def not what it's about. And I'm pretty much certain the car rests at normal position and then advances 30 degrees once the VCT is activated. So you would never hear a difference at idle.

Video is from 2007....Right around 35 seconds you hear the lope on my car with a VCT delete. But my idle wwas set to 950rpm.

so if i got a stock zetec gear and your delete kit, i could just follow regular timing instructions to set it? anything else that i would need

why are people getting rid of the VCT just because its a bitch during a timing belt change?

you lose 5 to 6 hp/tq across the powerband so why not keep it in unless your getting dual adjustable timing gears and going to the dyno?

no look at the post i posted above he stated a 5-6 hp/tq loss if you just take it off but if you got 2 adj gears and went to the dyno some power may be had
