regarding this.. i plan on getting one soon..
i know with other items, yall can do custom colors. is this still true for this item?

Is RTV still needed to help seal the oil hole?

In regards to color, this is an anodized item. We do them in large lot quantities 1 color at a time.

On powder coated items, we can easily offer them in different colors, but not so with this item.

Rudel - we use / include Permatex anaerobic sealant.

is there instructions on how to do this? and from what i understand theres no gains and not losses but you will have a more aggressive exhaust sound correct?

and do you need an adj cam gear and dyno tune?

This setup has many potential uses:

• switching to aftermarket cams that do not support VCT
• have a kit car/stand alone that does not have a way to activate VCT
• an advanced tuner who would rather hand adjust an adjustable cam gear themselves than have a computer do it
• a turbo setup where the user wants to dial out overlap
• a high compression/big cam user that would otherwise have piston/valve clearance issues
• have had issues with the solenoid and want to eliminate it

It's really not advantageous for a mostly stock or bolt on car. Yes, you'd want/need to run an adjustable cam gear, or at very least a stock zetec gear with this.

Ever since I changed my timing belt I've had 1381 and 1383 I'm ready to be done with that I've taken it back to shop multiple times and not fixed its bedn running with the codes for about a year now and drives great though with 30mpg. But if I could get this fixed or even do the vct delete to get a little better performance than I'm all for it. Does the vct delete give it a more aggressive sound as well, that would be nice too lol thanks for your response!

i'm not sure how a vct delete (FOR THE INTAKE CAM) would change exhaust note


but with an adj cam gear you could retard/advance your timing for peak power.
