Nope. I'm at 34.5k miles (which is why I wanted to get the IA issues fixed before my 36k miles ended) but powertrain has the 5 year / 60k mile (I think) warranty. I also have a 6 year / 125k extended warranty but there’s a $50 deductible.

Ugh. I don't have the time/patience/money for that. I mean, the car still drives but I can tell the clutches are getting progressively worse (I can hear chattering when shifting to 4th gear now) but until the thing breaks apart and ruins my transmission, there's not much I can do.

That is what mine did. I brought it in and took them for a drive. I could easly replicate the problem. It was no questions asked. They called the ford hotline, ford said put these parts on. Problem fixed

Like I said, I brought it in yesterday when it was acting up, but the techs had left at 4:30pm so when I brought it in this morning it was cold out and I only tried twice to replicate it (in the parking lot) before I gave up and was like "Well, I need to go to work." Note: They still have the car, I stole my roommate's.

I can try again later this week but it doesn't help when I'm busy for 11 hours a day M-F (I have 2 hours of commute every day).

EDIT: I'll also be taking off the splash shield and checking for that transmission fluid leak and if I do find it I'll be taking it right back and asking why no one checked for it when there's clearly a TSB out for it.

Great idea with checking for the leak, I was just going to suggest that and I will be doing the same if; when I take it in, I get the same response you did.

You probably noticed this other thread where BooBerry posted pics of his tranny leak and got TSB 11-12-13 - AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID LEAK applied by the dealer which calls for replacement dual clutch pack and shaft seals. Hopefully it will be that easy anyway.

Check his pic on post#6 if you havn't noticed it already ...

If you have some leakage there and it's sticky/honey-colored, no need to worry - that's just the rust-inhibitor applied when it's manufactured. If it's slick, then it's probably transmission fluid.

NOTE: I haven't checked my car yet, but was informed this is the wording in the TSB.

I dropped mine off at the dealer this morning and they re-flashed the update, that didn't work, then they swapped out the clutch motor, that didn't work. Now they are waiting to hear back from Ford Services to find out what to try next. Great! (Sarcasm)
