Sounds like the difference is obvious - yours is working fine, and the other poster's isn't. Just because YOU might not be having particular issues, it isn't fair to assume that someone who IS having issues must be doing something wrong.

I have a TPMS light coming on for no reason whatsoever. The dealerships can't figure it out. Will you assume that because YOU don't have the same issue that I must be doing something wrong? Perhaps running my tires low, or in REALLY cold weather, or something else? You'd be wrong.

There are a lot of people on here who are experiencing problems - and a lot who are not. The people with problems don't assume that others are somehow deficient for not having issues - why does it seem that those who DON'T have problems assume the worst about those that do?

You sound like one of the MANY crybabies that post here on this forum.

I did not assume ANYTHING and even suggested that this person might have the "worst car ever".

I guess when Ford initially marketed the new Focus, they never knew so many whiney azz beeches would be their target audience.

COMPLETELY different grade of guys over on the F-150 Forum. Too darn FUNNY !

I'm a pretty big guy at 6'3" and about 275 and I drive my car about 72 miles a day, five days a week. My Focus does not even have a hint of ANY of the problems that you outlined. Now I have only had the car for on year and 17, 000 miles so maybe that's the difference ??
I wish I had that excuse, but I drive alone, maybe with 1 passenger occassionaly, and I spend that time on the freeway, in 5th gear, doing a ~70 mile commute 5 days a week, plus any weekend driving.
I am 6' 2", 225lbs, and I loved the amount of room such a small car had. The engine was quick to go, the manual felt great.. very refined, needed a bit of skill to move it quickly.
When I bought this car I thought it was the best thing I could buy, and to this day I say that the Focus is a great design (great handling with great comfort and a refined drive), but my particular Focus has just been such a problem child, and after 1 year and 25, 000 miles, I finally gave up on the hope that it was going to be "the last repair".

Its also now getting a new front motor mount because the engine has been shaking.. I broght it in before stating this problem and was told its normal, amd now I find out a year later its a bad motor mount.

On a side topic.. anyone know the average brake life of these cars?

That does suck all that you have been through. Had I read posts like yours prior to my purchase I may have chosen a different car for sure.

As far as brake wear, most of my driving is interstate so I think that 25-30k might be about right for me. Your driving situation might be different though.

Good luck !

Well prior to my purchase everyone was saying how great the car was.. had I known I would have chosen something else..
Alright, I get the Works everytime I change my oil, and a minth ago my brakes were diagnosed green and now that I'm in the shop for this warranty work I'm hearing my brakes are almost bare.. wasn't sure if that was possible.

I wouldn't have thought it was possible. I have 21K on mine and the brake linings have a lot of meat left--it's hard to tell they're worn at all. Only about 30% of my driving is highway.

Exactly! 3 days before I took the car in my brakes looked over 1/4" think at least, maybe even closer to the 1/2" mark.. I just don't believe that, especially since a month ago they were 7/32
