2012 oil filter size?

does anyone know the oil filter size for other brands besides what the dealer uses. I'm almost at 1k miles and would like to change over to mobil 1 extended performance and the mobil 1 filter. I've checked local places like kragen and autozone and their system isnt updated with the 2012 models yet.

Our system does not show the 2012 yet. Best bet is to try and cross reference the numbers on the Motorcraft filter.

Posted via FF Mobile Ask the dealership service department, they may know. Btw why you going to pay extra for the extended performance oil...isnt that for high mileage cars? Regular mobil 1 should do just fine. Ps good job on wanting to change out the oil around now.

Are they using a traditional spin on type now or switching to a canister I wonder.

On page 368 of the Owner's Guide it lists FL-910-S.
Check here for a Mobil 1 filter http://www.mobiloil.com/USA-English/.../Homepage.aspx

the extended performance oil with the extend performance filter is supposedly guaranteed for up to 15k miles. I would still change around 7k or 8k. I think the price difference between extended performance and regular mobil 1 for a 5 quart jug is only 5 or 6 dollars at walmart, so I just got used to using it.

Which crosses to:
51348 (Wix filters)
1348 (NAPA)
BT223 (Baldwin)
LF157 (Hastings)
PH7575 (Fram)

It's a pretty old spin on part number, which means getting them shouldn't be a problem. hth
