Yellow Blaze Production Numbers 2012

There were a lot more sedans than hatches, but over all there were also far more Frosted Glass Foci than there were Yellow Blaze, basically because YB was running at 1% or so vs 6% approximately (at least in my local market and it seems overall.

18569 Frosted Glass Foci were produced in 2012.

11774 of which were sedans

6795 of which were hatchbacks.

So given that it was only the SE or SEL that really narrows it down a bit.

It was kind of hard to hear what the guy was saying on the phone as it sounded like he said the total was x, but then he added sedan on the end of the first one afaik.

In USA S and SEL was not available in Yellow Blaze.
Only the SE or Ti could have Yellow Blaze (at least this is what i remember for the 5 door hatch, maybe i am wrong)
So far in a full year plus, I have seen one Ti Yellow Blaze on the freeway. And one other, an SE a few times in my area, parked near the main post office. That Yellow Blaze has the 16" wheels, stick.
I have never seen a Yellow Blaze sedan.
So I am still unique so far with stick and 17" black painted wheels in my area.
1,319 total Yellow Blaze hatches.. that is an average of 26 per state!

Added: does that total mean North America?(so Canada is included?) Or USA only?

Anyway, I am glad i have a rare paint job! And glad i was actually able to buy the only one in my 100 mile area at the time I was looking!!! AND that it is a stick with sport package.

My last car, Contour SVT in Tropic Green (Amazon Green is another Ford name) was also rare. I never did see another one in the 13 years I owned it. Silver ones, black ones red ones, but never a green one.

I had to special order my car as the only other one on the lot at the time was not equipped the same way and had sat for close to six months. Since it was to be bought on Z-plan through the fact that my grandfather had retired from Ford and it would cost the exact same amount to take the car on the lot vs custom ordering the car exactly the way I wanted (minus the difference in options). Although now I half wonder if I shouldn't have ordered the premium package as the leather is also gone, but technically the specific combination of features I have are even rarer together.

I just sent a request to ford to try to get a further breakdown of the yellow blaze production. Here is a copy of what I sent.

Thru some research by others, I know there was only 4,123 total focuses in yellow blaze made for 2012. 2,804 were sedans and 1,319 were hatchbacks. The hatchbacks can be broken down further in that 439 were in SE trim and 880 were titaniums. What I don’t know is the breakdown of SE vs. Titanium in the sedans. Also if you have the info, I would also like the breakdown of auto vs. 5-speed manual trans in the titanium sedans and SE sedans.

I plan on getting a personalized license plate signifying the rarity of the color and I need accurate numbers before I apply for the plate. something along the lines of 1 of xxxx or something similar."

Based on the info we have now, you have 1 of 439. But if we get the info on 5 speed vs auto, you may have 1 of 100 or so.

I know they’ll track down the figures for you. Plus, “1 of 300 or so” doesn’t sound like a good vanity plate. LOL
