AC Whistling noise

Just wondering if anyone experienced a whistling noise from the AC.

I hear it when it's on 3 and when I put it on 4 it gets louder

I did for a few days but went away for now. I did change the cabin filter and vacuumed out any leaves recommended by dealer for AC problem still not right and wasn't going to pay them 90.00 for a 13.00 part.
Did read somewhere they found a small piece of sand paper in the evaporator case...

check and or change cabin air filter

if you often run your fan on higher speeds it is likely pretty dirty

BTW lots of aftermarket places sell 2 different grades of cabin filters , one is carbon activated and the other is not
I dont spend the extra for the carbon grade , just change it more often
I think the service interval is replacement once a year and thats usually how often I replace

Try adjusting your side vents, I had the same issue and if went away when I adjusted my passenger side vent closest to the door...

Its actually the two outside vents if they are angled a certain way you hear the whistles.

Are you getting them on all fan speeds?

I haven't experienced the whistling noise for some time now, but my guess is it's only when it's hot outside.

bengtc does have a point. If they are pointed down and inward the whistle noise is very noticeable especially if you have it in or past the 3rd fan speed.

I start hearing it on #2 fan speed, gets worse on #3 and 4. Yep, the vents are pointed inward and lower to cool my body (where else would they be pointed?). But the whistling is very noticeable, even with the radio on. Didn't the engineers actually TRY them before approving them for production?
