will this go much longer for me
2002 focus se 2.0l zetec 5 spd with 250k miles. only needs rotors at the moment and asking price is 1500 bucks. wanted to know if anyone else has a high mileage similar model thats still going or anything else i need to know or check before buying.
reviews came off as either extremely good or money pits from hell, so considering its made it a quarter million miles i will try to push another 50k out. also i have a set of new tires from a chevrolet monte carlo and would make me much happier if i could somehow use them on here too. they are 5 bolt, 16 inch p225 60r size thanks focus fanatics, hopefully with your help i can make the right decision to join the family or seek on |

depends on what engine it has, and how well it has been maintained. seeing as it has 250k on it, it most likely has been maintained pretty well. If it has the SPI (Split Port Injection) motor stay away but if it has the better Zetec engine then go for it. You can tell by simply popping the hood and it will say which one it is right on the valve cover.
as for the tires they wont fit no way at all, the tire is too big and the rims they are mounted on wont work seeing as the focus has a 4X108 lug pattern and the one you states is 5 lug. And the tire itself is too large anyways. Hope this helps

you know what... the life of the car depends on how it has been treated.

thanks for the help. he said it was a zetec engine.
not knowing who the owners, how they drove or service beyond oil change for this cars first 248000 miles leaves plenty of room for complications. i can take a close look over the car and drive it but ive only owned a 94 ford escort. is there anything i should keep an eye out for specifically for these vehicles. any common issues known to happen when its this old. |

Just picked up an 07 with 242000 3 months ago, has 248000. Still runs and drive like new all about how it is taken care of as everyone has said.
