My thoughts exactly.

I only have four more questions.

#1 Is overdoing the injectors (ie 60lb versus 40lb) going to decrease my fuel milage?

#2 Does the $550 Tom charges for a tune include the Xcal?

#3 Can you help me find someone selling a used Wideband O2?

#4 What does shipping via USPS w/ $1500 of declared value and signature confirmation cost to 75050?

#1 no. when you get the car tuned it will limit the 60lb injectors to spraying exactly what you need the same way it would if you were running 40lb injectors. the lb per hour rating only refers to how much fuel the injectors are capable of moving but they only spray as much as they need.
#2 i am not sure. it has been a VERY long time since i paid for my tune from tom and i already had an xcal. send him a pm. his screen name on this site is 1turbofocus
#3 i can try but you might as well buy one new. they arent terribly expensive. i took 5 minutes to find one on ebay for $163 shipped. i cannot link to my search results here because that would be against the rules. just get on ebay and search AEM uego wideband a/f and you will find what you need.
#4 i do not know but i can find out. i am about to start back to hell week tomorrow. 16 hour shifts monday night through thursday night. so it may be friday before i get a chance to check. i would be surprised if it cost much less than $200 for all of that. i can check UPS and fedex as well to get the cheapest one. it will be less if i can package it myself but i doubt i have any boxes that would contain all that stuff well, but ill check and see.

Well, it's 1:30 AM here in BFE nowheresville in the New Mexico mountains --and I'll be spending the money I had planned on for your JRSC to replace my alternator at the 24hr shop tax so I can get home to TX. Sonuvabi*

It's bullcrap that it's $500 for the damn thing in the middle of the night! I could do it myself for $150 had it happened when the stupid stores were open.

Ugh!

You should sell it to the other buyer. I'm not sure what's all wrong with my car after this road trip, but it's in desperate need of some major work --I've got to delay my FI plans until I get this all sorted out.

I've defintely lost my front right CV joint, and now the transmission is grinding at low RPMs. A rebuilt tranny is ~$300 and rebuilt axel assemblies are ~$75 each.

I'm sorry I have to back out, but there's just no way I feel safe boosting this car until I fix the drivability stuff first.
