My C-Max was built today. Hopefully I'll be able to post pictures and have a full review by next week. Later in the year, I'll have a C-Max, Focus HB, and Escape at my house for a few days. I'll try to do a full comparo of the three. Only if I could get my hands on a Focus wagon too....

Hey bball40dtw,

I'm happy to keep an eye on your vehicle's ETA for you. Just send me a PM with your VIN or order number/dealer name and I'll give you the details regarding its delivery status.

Dealer is about 7 miles from the factory. I'm guessing it was held a couple days and yesterday was the day it was released.

Picked up the C-Max yesterday. We've put 60 miles on it so far. I'll post some pictures and an overview tonight or tomorrow.

So far it has been averaging 44.1 MPG. While I am well aware that many Focus owners have been able to get around 40 MPG out of the Mk3 Focus, our Titanium is currently averaging 31.8 MPG. I have no doubt that some of you could get 50+ MPG with the C-Max.

The 44.1 MPG is in suburban rush hour traffic as well as a short trip to the grocery store. On the highway, the cruise control was set at 75 MPH, just like I would do with my GTI. The six mile round trip to the grocery store resulted in an average fuel economy of 59 MPG.

This is my first hybrid vehicle. A year ago I wouldn't have seen myself purchasing one, but the C-Max was good enough to get me out of my GTI. More to come....

Congratulations! Yes, some may get to 40 MPG on the highway with their Focus but not really 'everyday.' Impressive numbers for rush hour, especially here in the motor city!

Here are a couple of pictures from my phone. So far so good with the C-Max. For someone that is 6'5" with a 36" inseam, the C-Max is extremely comfortable to drive and be a passenger. It is a more upright seating position than the Focus, but not quite a CUV. It also has less of a cockpit feel than most of the newer Ford vehicles.

As I have become more used to car, I have been better at keeping the C-Max in EV mode. I am looking forward to the car recognizing my usual destinations so it will go into EV+ mode, which allows you to use more battery close to home or frequent destinations. The hybrid driving screens are one of the best features of the C-Max. I wish our Focus had at least a full color LCD between the tachometer and speedometer.

My mileage keeps climbing. I have a 20 mile commute that includes both service street and highway. On cruise control, at 72 mph, my commute has been averaging the EPA tested 47 MPG. Hopefully I can get 500 miles a tank.
