I like the look with the lower profile tires and bigger wheels.

Many Detroit area Ford dealerships got thier first C-Max deliveries last Thursday. As far as I have seen, each dealer has received one C-Max SEL. The only color I've seen is the Ingot Silver. My Ice Blue Metallic SE hasn't been built yet. I have a VIN, but no window sticker as of yet.

I test drove one last Thursday. I really like the vehicle. Our Focus and GTI obviously handle better, but the C-Max drives like a taller, heavier, quieter Focus.

That was a European Spec model with a choice of gas and diesel engines, the only ones being built here are the hybrid and plug in hybrid versions which look like the other pictures posted on the thread, so if you want that one you'll have to go to Europe for it.

Plus the only choice for wheels and tires is the 17" 15 spoke wheels with LRR tires.

Hey folks,

If any of you have a C-Max ordered, I'm happy to track its ETA for you. Just send me a PM with your VIN or order number/dealer name; I'll fill you in on its status.

Thanks!

Anyone thinking about getting a C-Max should make sure to get one without a panoramic roof. It does not open at all. Only a power sunshade. Its a $2000 option for a fixed glass roof.

I like the seats more than the Focus or GTI. The SEL leather seats have way more adjustment options than the Focus SEL/Titanium seats. There is also more front legroom than the Focus. The one-lever fold down rear seats are also a big step up.

The only complaints I have are that the trunk load floor is not flush with the bumper, and the SEL starts at $27K without a power liftgate or navigation. The C-Max would have about the same cargo capacity as the Escape without the batteries. In the end, settling for the SE's cloth seats isn't the end of the world.

The dealership I go to is ordering as many C-Max's as possible. They are leasing out better than a similar Escape. If you qualify for A/Z plan, $330/mo will get you into a base SEL lease with $0 down. Around $350-375 for X-plan.

My mistake, its a $1200 option. But the Escape has a $1400 panoramic roof that actually opens. However, for $800 more than the roof, you can add MFT, Nav, Power liftgate, reverse sensors, ambient lighting etc to the base C-Max SE.

On Saturday, I saw an SEL, with everything on it, that had a listed MSRP of over $32K. I thought it was expensive, but it was already sold. I suppose that is much cheaper than a comparable Escape.
