Automatic climate off each time I start the car

OK, so my car has the automatic climate control that the SEL and Titanium's have. The other day I noticed that it was off when I started the car. So I turned it on and didn't think about it again...until the next time I got in and started it and yet again it was off. Now I start to watch to make sure it was on when I turn the car off. Well now each time I start the car I have to click the power button. This is new and just started as I have never had to do this until yesterday. Anyone else have this problem? Perhaps a fix for it? Not a major issue other than the fact it simply is not supposed to do that.

Next time after you start your car, try turning on climate in MFT.

I ran into something weird like this not long after I got the car. It turned out that I (well, my wife actually) made a small change temporarily in her side climate. It kind of goofed things up on subsequent startups. When you turn climate on again when you start your car do you turn it on by hitting the main power button or by hitting the "Auto" button? If you do the former, try turning it on with the "auto" button next time. See if it sticks. It was a while ago for me so I can't totally remeber the details but as I recall if a change is made and you hit "Auto" again, it is kind of like "partially auto". If you turn it off with the power button and on again with the auto button, that seemed to work for me as I recall.

I will do that. Do you think MFT is the cause of this too? Seems it is the cause of everything bad....I think it is the reason wall street crashed and why that cruise ship it rocks off the coast of Italy!

I always hit the auto button. Perhaps I will just hit the power button next time. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I will give them a try and see what happens.

Why do you want your climate control on when you start your car anyhow? There's a long history of this putting added strain on your alternator and compressor.

And I usually let my car idle down and the engine warm up a bit before I turn the climate control on. Just something I've been told to do by numerous mechanics and techs.
