Anyone know first-hand how effective the stock splash guard is at reducing water getting near an Fswerks cai?

Very effective, but if you are still worried simply put a hydro filter cover on it and your extra protected

Thanks. I wanted the Fswerks cai intitially but was gonna ditch it for the Steeda short ram because of the Hydro lock threat. Wanted to just avoid the headache altogether. I can see the ground through the engine bay and the guard only covers maybe a foot behind the front bumper, so it's really deceiving. Seems like one puddle would just drench the filter.

It really doesn't go under the engine; just under the front "bumper"
