Trailer wiring question

Just installed my hitch and was surprised that the wiring harness adapters are around $55. Wondered if anyone had any ideas or even a used one?

wiring options

Thanks for the link, but there is no way I'd use those clamp on spices on this 2012 Focus wiring system- its so complicated and those were never great choices anyway. Draw tite and others sell a PLUG n PLAY type for about $50 so no wires have to be spliced or cut. gp

They have plug n play too but more then $50. I always soldered the wires and heat shrink but it was just another option.

See my recent post concerning this installation of the CURT brand no spice adapter. It works well, not too difficult to install. George

My post will supply some TIPS and explanations that are NOT in the instructions. I purchased my adapter thru Amazon for around $55 I think, just make sure to get the plug n play, NOT the clamp on splice type.

Check out this link. I'm no expert whatsoever, but this really helped a dummy like me figure out how to wire my trailer.
