This does not surprise me after my son and I stopped for lunch at a restaurant in a moderate size town in Wisconsin. There were about 25 cars parked straight in on each side of the street near this restaurant. Get this: not one (1) of the 50 cars was domestic, meaning of course, Ford, GM or Chryster. Blew our minds. All were Japanese with the exception of one VW. Just thought this was worth an FYI.

I've noticed here in Nor Cal that there are a lot more new Fiestas on the road than Focii.

I actually see quite a few Foci around here. Not as many as Camrys, Corollas, Hondas or Civics, but several.

The biggest issue is that most Americans still believe the hype that Toyotas and Hondas are the best built cars out there. I bought into the hype of the new Sonata, only to find out that it's still a Korean pile of garbage. I had so many interior squeaks and rattles, horrible transmission, uncomfortable seats, bad ergonomics, I could go on but you get the point. American cars, Ford especially, how come a long way, but people are still afraid to make a change for the better. Their loss!

I've only seen 1 Dart myself.

That's ironic since Fiesta sales have fallen off a cliff. Down 23% year over year, only 4,000 sold last month.

I think that it's a combination of perceived high sticker price and some bad press over the DCT & MyFordTouch. There is plenty of stock in NH.

I wish that they would price the cars more realistically from the get-go instead of slapping big rebates on them later (note that companies like VW are careful not to do that).

BTW, the Fiesta has been out a year longer than the Focus. I see plenty of Focii in the NH/MA-area, though some are rentals. There is a great looking grey SEL hatch (used) that I would take a run at if it didn't have the DCT...

why learn chinese for japanese cars, actually most of them are made here in the US, although profits goto Japan, at least they brought jobs here :) they are bringin 325 new jobs to the same town I work in (used to be a GM town, lots of jobs lost). At least they are building our Foci in the US :)

You didn't get the joke I see.... its nothing to do with Japanese cars...LOL... its the US economy, and how your government has a lot of debt to China and of course, and they're becoming impatient with payments, etc. You notice how many mainstream tv shows lately (comedies mainly) make reference to that? <-- see what I did there.. (Panda, from China....LOL)
