Ruby Red Build Thread

So I have a 2014 Ruby Red SE hatchback with the DCT. I have about 350 miles on the odometer and the mods have begun. I plan on doing many mods to my car as funds become available. I'm going to be taking my time and i'll update this thread as new mods go on.

First was the green filter drop w/snorkel delete. Really liking this so far. Gave a little low end power and a nice growl under the hood when I accelerate.

Then I added some rokblokz mud flaps.

And I did a 15 % tint all the way around.

My plan for the car will probably take a couple years due to money. I plan do just do it a little bit at a time. I think i'm going to start with a tune from Tom. I then want to put a ST replica spoiler. I also plan on doing some lowering springs for about a 1 inch drop as it's my daily driver and i dont want to kill the ride qaulity but just want to get rid of some of the wheel gap. I'll also add a new rear sway bar. I want to put some spacers on to bring the wheels out a bit too, was thinking 20mm in the rear and 15 in the front. Since it already has decent factory wheels i'll probably do the wheels close to last. i'd like to get some all black 5 or 6 spoke wheels in a 18 inch. At some point i would like to either paint or just get the aftermarket side skirts/valences to get rid of the black trim along the bottom. That is the overall plan. The only other thing inside i'd like to do is some new speakers. My goal is to just have a good looking daily driver. I dont want to go for that ricer fast and the furious look. Just simple and clean and nice. I'm looking forward to working on this car and i'll update this as i go.

All i've ever owned is Hatchbacks! I love the look of a hatch. Thanks slickwilly, they are the factory wheels but i'm really liking them too. It's nice it came with decent wheels, it will save money for other stuff!

jburks: have you found any good sites for the ST wing? or I guess it would be called a spoiler.

Looking great! Mods will probably move this to the build section at some point.

Thanks Jburks. Hey do you think the snorkle delete is necessary with the filter addition?

Well dyn085 i blieve was the one who did a dyno test with and with out the snorkle delete and showed that if you are going to do a drop in filter then it is esential for an hp gains. if you still have the factory air filter then it wont do anything and same if you have a full cold air intake as the filter is already in the open but he showed it is esential for drop in filters.
