Where are the 5-speeds????

My wife saw our Focus from the road and the only reason we came in and looked at it was because of the candy red color and low and behold it was an SE w/sport package and was a 5 speed and the only one on the lot that weekend so suffice to say it was an easy decision;the only option I wish it had was the winter option with the heated seats otherwise the car is as I would've ordered it. I think I was pretty lucky.

Only option I wish I had would be sync. I other then that I love my car.

On the wish I had.. I wish I could have been able to afford a Ti. IA, makes things a lot easier over fumbling around for keys. Heated seats would be nice to. Of course if I had a bought a Ti I would be kicking myself for not buying a ST.

Before buying my SE Hatch with the Sports Package in Sterling Gray with the 17" black wheels with the 5 speed manual that I had to order, I drove an Escort with a 5 speed for eighteen years. My commute has lots of stop and go traffic with intermittent highway speeds because our city planners with their infinite wisdom designed 71 Hwy, now I-49 to have stop lights instead of on and off ramps with the idea more people would stop and spend money in the less affluent neighborhoods of the city. With all the stop and go traffic especially in the witner, I was getting what I refer to as, "clutch knee" similar to "tennis elbow". I was really looking forward to getting the automated dual clutch car without a clutch, but after a test drive when I gave the trottle the obligatory "punch", it did nothing for what seemed like three minutes and then it finally bolted and took off. This seemed dangerous to me so the dealer advised me I could order it the way I wanted it and still get the promotional deal, which I did. The manual five speed and clutch have a great feel. I realized that the downshift from 3rd to 2nd has to be a little shorter on the transition to the left than what I was use to and I think it is due to the safety thing that keeps you from accidentally going into reverse. I really love the way the car drives, but I take my F-150 with about 600 lbs in the bed on snow days now.

Had my 5speed for about a month. Hard to keep it below 3000rpm. One sweet sounding 4cyl engine. Here is a pic. Great car for the money.

Love my 5sp. Auto wasn't an option. Waited three weeks for my car after I signed the contract.

For those of you wishing for heated seats, 500.00 parts and labor at the dealer.

Intentionally avoided SYNC, etc after having it on my '10 SES.

I bought my 2013 focus Se on December 2012, i was surprised that i was able to get one with no credit. I told the dealership to surprise me with a focus and found me a stick shift one that just got in. i was so lucky because when i came the next day after i put the car on hold three people came in asking for it. but it was already mine!! love it!
