injected kool power thermostat questions

I was thinking of purchasing the kool power thermostat from injected. I understand the basic concept of keeping everything cooler helps the car run better but how exactly does this aftermarket thermostat work? Also how hard is the installation at home?

The aftermarket one works the same as the stock one , you need a tun to change the fan setting to make it all come together

You have to drain your cooling system , lift your car to get to your thermostat , change it then refill properly

I have this installed on my 2013. Installation is kinda a pain ill be honest. I was able to do it without lifting my car but the bolt on the right side of the t stat was a pain to get to. And as stated you will have to drain a refill all your coolant

So now I must decide on tuning! With all the research ive done im definitely gonna go custom tune with the sct tuning device.

Yea I really hate draining any coolant that's not oil lol. I will just wait till right before I go to tune then install it.

Good to know! Ive also been reading over your thread on custom tuning for the mk3 focus and based on what people are saying im definitely gonna go with your custom tuning route vs the injected tune. I have a few questions though. My car is almost stock when it comes to na mods. The only mod I have currently is the k&n drop in filter with the snorkel delete, but my main reason I want to tune is the everyday drivability. I do a lot of city driving(seeing as I live in one of the most traffic prone areas in Virginia Hampton roads) with a lot of riding the clutch stop and go kind of driving. It also tends to get really hot and humid here in the summer. Without exhaust and full aftermarket intake mods can I still get good benefits from the tuning? And will the thermostat with the tune make a good difference driving in hot and humid conditions?

All my Wife's Tit has done is a drop in filter and my tune and she loves it , didnt even know I put a tune in it and came back and said " Ok ... what did you do to my car " LOL and she doesnt drive it hard like I do

LOL! That's hilarious! Then im definitely gonna be going the route of tune first. Then add exhaust and full intake down the road since you do the free updates. One more question. Will the remote tuning require a decent laptop?

Yes you will need a laptop , a customer went to a pawn shop and bought an old XP for 80.00 and it works the best ,he wiped it of everything not needed and using it just for tuning
