2002 ZX3 - Wipers died

hey guys im now in the buffalo area and its been raining here alot lately and today, my wipers died, when i was on my way home on the interstate, they had been working fine up until i entered the highway, no function at all in the front wipers. i have had the wiper park issue in the past in which i did replace the relay a year ago and they worked perfectly since with few issues other then the odd time dying like this, but still having the high wipe setting still working during large rain events like this before.

my rear wipers still works like normal, i can spray the washer fluids on both front and rear windows fine, but no front wipers at all, totally dead....

i have changed the switich, twice, and checked all the wiper fuses, and relays and they are all fine, any ideas as to what it is?

'Fraid it sounds like a motor issue, unless you can hear it run without them moving...

Where are you in the area? Nice looking ride BTW.

Look in the area under the cowl right under where the wiper arm connects at the windshield. I think you might find the bottom arm of the wiper assembly just laying on the bottom and when you turn the wipers on (if the motor still works), the arm will just move back and forth but it isn't attached to anything. I had to duct tape mine to get it to work and stay. otherwise, it's buying a whole new assemby. It's held for over a year now but I have duct tape, a socket and wrench, and a rain jacket in the trunk just in case
