I see nothing wrong with the scoop, as long at it gets fitted right. Functional would be sweet too, though its not the same as doing it on a carbureted car.

You should be able to get a local paint shop to mix you up some for a reasonable price. Autozone sells my color and iIRC your color too in Duplicolor perfect match rattlecans. I also got some touch-up paint from a local paint shop for $10.00 for 2oz.

I think the hoodscoop is fine, it definitely came off of a Roush. If you take it off, it should have no problem selling very quickly.

Keep the scoop. Paint those mach's black to match your theme. Niteshade your tails too.

The tail lights are another point of contention; I think they look great on their own (they're in great shape), but they don't jive with a red-and-black style, so I'm looking into a second set of housings to Niteshade.
Sumone is selling some euro tail lights that would look good........

I've been thinking about this as well, but I haven't fully decided on a commitment to red/black. I'm still wondering how it'd look with white wheels, possibly even a white grill (haven't seen a picture on which to base an opinion yet). If I start making permanent modifications, I'll lose the ability to change my mind easily.

To that end, I'm purchasing an extra set of taillight housings from another FF member to Niteshade. I'm not comfortable cracking open the Mach housings, though; honestly, I can't afford to replace one if I screw it up too badly or decide I really don't like it.

I have the Saleen scoop on mine....I think they add a nice touch. I think the only difference in the scoops is mine has a grill in it and it may be a bit wider.

Well, the scoop came off today. It was held on with four thin plastic bolts and two sided tape. Obviously, there's damage to the hood where the scoop was pinned down, so I did a quick-and-dirty Plastidip job on the hood. Eventually, my plan is to repair the damage, fill the holes, and repaint it (assuming I don't get a new hood entirely).

I'm not terribly happy with the Plastidip job, but it's better than before, and I really prefer the sweep of the hood without the scoop.

it's looking good so far. i would say niteshaded taills looks alot better. even oem would look fine, as it's still red on red. just not the same shade.
there is also white plastidip, so obviously it's reversible. you can definitely try that if you want to explore a different color scheme. any future appearance/ performance mods?

I've got tinted tails on it now, actually--got a good deal on some OEM tails from a fellow FF member, cleaned them up and Niteshaded them. I need to get some new pictures, heh.

I probably won't get much done until after Christmas, but I do want to get a new set of wheels and a new hood. My long-term performance goals include FI, but that's a ways off with kids to feed. Until then, it's mostly maintenance--change the timing assembly, figure out where my AC is leaking and get it fixed, etc.
