That's enough motifs* to clarify that Ford took the idea from the 7th gen Maxima. Ford just manipulated the idea to make it their own. Mostly all auto makers tend to get ideas from their competition and manipulate it here and there to make it their own. So in the end, all auto makers are copycats.

The Kia is fairly reminiscent of the FoFo and with the Kias they have that oval badge that is also very similar in size and shape as the FoFo's blue oval.

If you get a car in silver/grey it's going to look like everything else on the road. No offence of course it's a fine looking color, it's just one of if not THE most popular color choice these days. (Just look at the color polls here) My Race Red Focus is easy to spot from a distance in crowded mall parking lots, and by cops unfortunately though that hasn't been an issue yet. *knocks on wood*

I'm color aware of my car too as it obviously does stand out so I do try to drive a little more conservative than normal.

Want to be less seen, buy silver or white.

They don't call it One Ford for nothing.

The Focus/C-max/Escape are all based on Ford's global C-car platform.

The Fusion/Mondeo are based on the same platform for 2013+.

The Taurus is based on the old Volvo D3 platform along with all the current D-car variants.

This is very typical. The flare style tailgates all came out on trucks at the same time or really close together. Many cars except chrysler's share the same type of styling imo.

IMO all new cars look the same. All new cars share parts from other all new cars, paint and build quality is terrible because of new environmental regulations, MFT doesn't work like it should(based on all the 2012 complaints). Ford's look like Mazda's, Vauxhaull's look like Pontiac's, etc. And they are all basically the same car, so nowadays you are just paying for an emblem.
