it might just be me, but is the ST hood also different? So of you switched bumpers you would have to switch the hood too. coming from an F Body (Firebird/Trans Am) the switch should be pretty easy. but maybe the ST has the mounting brackets and clips, etc, in different places because of the intercooler being in the way of the stock hardware.

Apart from the cost I don't see why not, although you may or may not need to change the entire front clip if the fenders aren't the same.

I think more people here might be inclined to want the opposite swap, to place the normal Focus Front end on the ST for more of a sleeper look.

Personally I like both, but its a shame we can't have the wagon or a 6 speed manual here, (only the ST has a 6mt)

F bodies were my first and second cars so am familiar with them. It was just a thought I had in my crazy brain. I don't think I will be doing it anytime soon, I love the way my SEL looks. Coming from a GM family, this is actually my first Ford and I don't think I made a mistake by crossing over to what my family calls the "DARKSIDE". And I agree I would have loved to have a wagon or traditional 6 speed manual.

You'll need the hood, too, the ST hood doesn't have the same cut out for the logo, looks a little shorter as well. Fenders seem to match, though.

Edit: hood is way different, and it doesn't have the windsheild washers on the hood, so you'll need to relocate those as well. Skirts and rear bumper should match no problem (of course you'll need center exhaust). My biggest issue would be the price. The ST hatch spoiler is on fordparts.com for a cool $1000. Hate to see what a bumper would cost!

I was thinking when the ST was released I would look into the swap because from the looks of the front grill, it looks open, not closed like my SEL. Now im thinking its gonna be way too much work....

I was wondering the same ,being that a rolling cart from my work rolled into
the front and put a small ding in it ,$600 worth of damage recieved the check
getting ready to get her fixed then last week smoked a baby deer YAAY so now I have $1000 worth of damage and the guy @ the body shop asked if
I wanted to put aftermarket on there and I said yea but... 2012 not a big selection on goodies. If not a st front clip does any one know of other good looking front bumpers?

The only "aftermarket" front bumper would be the ST unless you go back stock with a lip kit like Bojix or 3d carbon.
