Wow! Never would have guessed they were that long. I tried the 15mm spacer on the stock studs today and they weren't nearly long enough. I was thinking extended studs were around 55mm, but it looks like I'd have to go to a 70mm stud to get them to work.

I thought I'd seen somewhere on this site that 15mm spacers would work fine on a stock stud, but I guess that's not the case.

If anyone who's added spacers have some advice, I'd love to hear it!

I misread your post, my bad. The stud length I gave you is for the 15mm spacers.

I'll come back and edit the link in, but I probably have the most information available on what works for spacing the Focus. Gimme a sec.

Edit: Here you go-Mk3 Spacer Thread

If you want more info after reading that, you can ask there or pm me

Well Dyn, after I saw your picture I went back and searched and found your excellent write-up on spacer fitment. Too bad I didn't read that beforehand, but I see your point now about the stock studs being too short.

So, in your experience there's no way to replace the studs without pulling the hubs, huh? That's definitely not in my plans, so I'll probably just leave them stock.

Damn... $100 bucks worth of spacers and no place to put them... yeah-yeah, I know what you're thinking...

What I'm thinking is that you are starting to go through what I went through. This is how I know what I know about wheel spacing. I've gone from 10/15 to 10/20 to 15/20. Took me a year and I should probably put my wheels on quick-disconnects, but now I try to get the word out when I hear people wanting to space.

Unless you're willing to modify parts or spend money to have the the front studs installed, I usually just recommend 5/10 or just ordering wheels with the spacing you want. I know it's not the news you were wanting, but that's my professional opinion.

Great advice!! Ask the experts before you spend your money.

I was going 10-15 with a nice set of black anodized Volvo spacers from Canada. Will have to think about spending the extra cash to pull the hubs.

You've got mail brotha'.
