If you're willing to come down to the Cincinnati, OH area there is a small pocket of FFers driving manuals around.
Brand new 2012s to auto-x prepared ZX3 - we'd be avaliable to promote the stick!

I'm wondering if I could use a Skype video interview for the project, but it probably wouldn't be high enough quality for broadcast. I'll ask though.

Whether or not I can help you, good luck with your project. I applaud your determination to continue your education. Never stop learning!
DownEast is pretty far, but I have plans to visit the Portland area in September... :)

Cool, Lancaster isn't too far from York.

That is true. It's not the title of the piece; rather it's just something that we'd all recognize. We don't usually name segments until the final stages, when everything else comes together.

Cinci is damn far...but if there were enough people committed and an event or something going on, I could justify it...

I can do skype, I have a 720p webcam for my desktop PC but I'll have to check the resolution on my laptop. I also have a Samsung Galazy SIII that has a 720p front facing camera, so we can probably make skype work for that as well :)

Yeah it's a haul - I didn't realize how far northeast you were. I'm sure you don't need to travel way down here to find manual enthusiasts.

We have plenty of Auto-x during the summer - but by no means is Cincinnati the closest place to you to get that.

Good luck on your project!

Wow, was your post timely. I'm in the hunt for a student's car for my son. Ideally a 2004 to 2007 Focus, hatch preferred but a sedan will work. 90k to 100k miles and between $5k and $6k. Lot's to choose from here in West Michigan...except...he would like a manual. From there it's down hill, almost nothing to choose from within a 150 or so mile radius. Most dealers here won't touch a manual trans car cause they have a hard time selling them. I'm thinking we'll have to zero in on one and do a road trip out of state.

Yup. I had to special order my 2012 from Ford just to get the manual. It's a damn shame really.
