Used parts overpriced

I went through the threads of people selling used parts for 2000-2008 focus models and see that prices aren't dropping on used parts, wtf? People have got to understand that your going to have to sacrifice in prices for used parts. I can understand the prices for new parts. We all know the new models are out, the people that are selling used parts to buy the new model are going to find out the hard way they are waisting everyone's time holding off til the last second to sell lower. Once the new parts start coming out for the new models they are going to be out of luck due to nobody wanting to buy older model parts anymore.. That's my opinion at least. Anyone feel free to give there opinion.

Well the rarer the parts the more expensive they might get also.

Used cars (aka collector cars) are.. Well... Used they sell for hundred of thousands.

Since our cars are older, aftermarket companies are starting to drop their lines of parts for them. The focus community is not a huge one, and quality performance parts are a very small market share vs other vehicles that are much more popular.

Because of this, focus components are starting to get harder and harder to find, especially those that have been discontinued.

In some respects, I will agree that ive seen alot of people post up items for much more than they are worth, but big deal, unless its the last part on earth that you absolutely must have.. move on.

Most people put things up with OBO prices on them. Yeah, I'm asking $350 for my used Cosworth header and flex pipe. People can make me an offer if they want, but if they're going to badger me about the price I'll tell them to find another Cosworth header.
