My sunroof leaked last week, head liner is pulling away at the windshield and it has water stains. I don't like the idea of the dealership ripping the car apart to fix and replace. If I wanted someone else's problems I would have bought used!

If you didn't want any problems you shouldn't have bought first model year of a new generation, just sayin. Luckily I haven't had any issues like this, just the occasional MFT hiccup and some transmission quirkiness (I miss the november TSB reflash, the new one gives me issues)

Good luck to you all though, we have warranties for a reason, use them while you have them.

I hear you. Never again a new model! I tried to trade it in for a 5speed titanium but they were only going to give me $18500 on trade in. I paid $31000 with tax and it only has 20000km on it. I guess I have to live with my mistake.

My only problem with the moonroof is that it's on the smaller side...really should have looked into that before I selected it on the options list. Other than that, no functionality issues to report in 6,000 miles though.

I don't disagree with you, and it is disappointing, but there is a possibility of this happening on ANY new car. If every new car was flawless they wouldn't come with warranties. These are machines with thousands of parts, made by people, and lots of subcontractors... issues are going to happen from time to time. In fact I have to take my car in next week and have them fix a paint issue. Not ideal, but they're taking care of it. Allow your dealer to do the same.

I've bought 11 new cars in my life (and about a dozen motorcycles). 16 if you count my wife's cars too. I've had problems with jut about every single one of them. Including the Honda Prelude, which was a pile of crap that went back under the Lemon Law.

The point is - these things happen. It's not the end of the world. Take it to the dealer, demand a loaner vehicle. If you keep having problems, demand a new car.

Sales people are not to be trusted. Ever.

Yes, I am in sales. :)

Seriously though - you bought a Ford. It's the dealer and the brand that matter. You probably won't deal with your sales guy ever again - unless he really took care of you. In which case maybe you'll buy your next car from him.

Make friends with your service advisor. That is who you're going to be dealing with from now on. Treat those guys like gold. Keep in mind that they have the worst job at the dealership, because no one is ever happy to take their car in for service. I find that if you treat your service advisor right it will make your car ownership experience much
more enjoyable.
