glitchy SYNC issues

My SYNC is glitchy, and always has been. The dealership is absolutely no help. They tell me it's because I use Apple products. Really?! I use the most popular phone and MP3 player in the world, and your company doesn't support it?!

Mine randomly does various things--my phone doesn't pair, the iPod won't play (or I get errors--file corrupt, doesn't recognize it, etc.), the clock changes, the entire home screens changes and flashes.

I've had it reset at least 4 times (master reset) and the dealership did a system update. Everything works fine for a few days, then--wham!--weird things start happening. I shouldn't have to give the dealership my car for a day just for this issue (especially when I could have done all of it myself!).
I love my car, but I hate the SYNC. They should warn you that the SYNC and Apple products don't play well together.

Apple should warn you that THEIR products may not work well with many things. Blame Apple on this one. Maybe it'll work if you load Adobe Flash on your iPhone/iPod.

No- I was actually told by the SYNC phone rep that it was a SYNC issue. My old phone worked. I smell an Apple hater.
And I didn't come here looking for this. I came looking for help. You didn't help.

I have several Apple products, I'm no hater. It's just a fact. The way that Apple chooses to "do" BT is not compatible with SYNC. In their Beta version of IOS 6, it worked as well as any other BT device, but when they came to market with IOS 6 they changed something. Do you have MFT? There's a new update that will help with a few of the issues you may be having with it. i.e. phone pairing, clock issue, BT sound quality etc.

It has NEVER worked right. Not on any iOS. Not since day one. But since the dealership can't 'recreate" my issues, I'm essentially screwed.

Do you have MFT? If so, the new version(3.5.1) issued last Thursday fixes many phone pairing issues. It's TSB 12-11-1, I'd call and speak to the service manager about getting this installed. He may not be aware of the new TSB.

Unfortunately, MY dealership has proven themselves to be totally incompetent on this issue (not just my opinion--from others I met while waiting for my car, for the 3rd time!). Not sure where to go from here. And I shouldn't have to take my car in just for "updates."
