Yes its possible to add boost to the 12:1 compresson 2.0 DI TiVCT, but you won't get much out of it on 91-93 octane pump gas. Now 100 plus octane racing fuel is a different story. There are reasons why Ford lowered the compression on the turbocharged 2.0 DI TiVCT.

Anyone know what the compression of the Roush Focus would be? Just curious since I thought I saw that it was going to be using a S/C. I'm wondering if they changed the pistons to lower the ratio.

I'm curious as to what boost they are running. I don't think they would have lowered the compression...though not saying that they didn't.

I'd be more inclined to say the same^^^^ as far as the compression ratio.

Roush usually goes for performance bolt-ons. I have to think that a 5.6 sec, 230 hp, 210 lb ft Focus woyld be a blast to drive...

Those gains, in my short math, represent single-digit boost.

Bolt ons and a good tune (when they finally put one out) may put you in the 30hp range. Look at RED's dyno, he gained quite a lot from just the intake and exhaust.

With just a CAI you should be at or near 10hp. Red has had an exceptionally strong motor from day 1, but still exemplifies the possibilities within these motors.
