should i bother?

i have a 2004 zx3 with no modding done yet other than a cold air. i want to put a turbo and full exhaust on my ford but my ztech has about 87000 miles on it. if i put a turbo on how long do you think the engine will hold up?

Well it really depends on how much power you want. If you want to stick with stock internals do a compression test to make sure the engine is still nice and healthy. I would say look into fswerks or topspeed turbo kits if you have not already. Its all in the tune!

If you going to boost on standard internals dont boost much higher than 0.5/6 bar boost. If you want to do it properly get forged pistons & rods

A good tune is everything. 87000 is nothing is well serviced. 10lbs of boost on a good tune is better than 6lbs on a bad tune.

Your zetec will be fine for 240WHP man. No probs. That's a baby engine! I rebuilt mine with forged internals at 160k.
