not sure whats going on

hi fellas. wife came home the other day and told me here car was stalling coming to a stop. took it out and drove it and it was fine for me. she said it was doing it again over the weekend so i drove it again and it did happen to me.got code p1100, p2195, and p2196. I actually had a new 02 sensor laying around so i threw it on now i only get the p2196(02 signal stuck rich). here whats going on.........while driving at a fast speed and then say, getting off an off ramp coming to a stop then rpm's will drop and then stall. sometimes it wont stall, most of the time it wont but it has happened. also, just sitting in park at idle if you goose the throttle real quick, when the rpms come back down, it does the same thing. the rpms drop and most of the time, it stalls. turned the a/c on and it doesnt change the rpms that much. rpms go up a little bit but not much. put in a new air filter. fuel filter was done recently. plugs and wires done last year. pcm programming is up to date as of this morning. could this be an IAC issue? Could it even be the dreaded pcv hose? I havent checked the hose yet but i knew they had a problem with them on this engine. I really cant hear a vacuum leak but i guess that doesnt mean there isnt one. car is a 2003 zx3 2.0 zetec automatic. thanks for any help or ideas.

Well of course you should check all the "free" stuff, it certainly won't hurt anything to replace a bad PCV vacuum line, for example. I doubt that's your problem.

To see what's up, try disconnecting your first O2 sensor. That should make it read lean, and the car will run rich. I assume right now that you're running lean if it's stuck rich, or it's already diverted to the open loop map because the sensor is reading rich all the time. I'm just doing that to see what happens. It might change nothing, in that case, you've got some wiring problems somewhere and voltage is getting on the signal line between the sensor and the ECU. About the only thing I think that could do that is the heater for the O2 sensor. There should be a fuse for the HO2S find that in your owner's manual, and remove it for bank 1. If you now get a code for a bad HO2S heater and the other code goes away, then I think we're on our way to figuring out that you need to closely inspect the wiring from the connector to the ECU for damage.

thanks for the fast reply. I thought about the wiring but i was hoping that would be a go to as a last resort lol. I will try disconnecting the 02 sensor and will also try removing the fuse. i just thought it was going to be something simple this time but i guess not. so its prob. not the iac? I guess I should have told you that I also just replaced the MAF 2 weeks ago so I am hoping there isnt an issue there.

I think you'll not go far wrong cleaning the IACV. First place I'd start.

found a fix

finally got a chance to get back on here and tell ya guys what i found. well the pcv hose was ok however i noticed that when i took the pcv valve out, where it plugs in was caked with a bunch of crap. replaced the pcv valve and cleaned out the (oil separator)? real good. changed the oil and test drove it. running a lot better. no more stalling while coming to stop and while doing a panic stop at 65 mph, the rpms did not drop below idle speed. been running ok for the last week so...... old pcv valve looked and sounded ok, but replaced it anyways. thanks for the info fellas.

What did you do to clean out the oil separator? I think yours should be the same as mine? I have '02 2.0L Zetec DOHC. Mine is between the engine and the heat shield for the exhaust manifold. I can't see any way to take it out without removing everything. Did you clean it with it still in place? Please let me know.
