Any way to lessen the vibes from play mount?
Sorry if this is the wrong subforum. I installed massive's poly dogbone mount a few weeks ago and love the performance gain from it, however, on hot days with the A/C on the vibrations from it are freaking obnoxious. Feels like
Thanks in advance, PowerFocer EDIT: "Poly mount in title" |

buy a soft OEM one and use it in summer, nothing you can do will change it, You can increase your RPM up 200 and that would lessen it, but that would make it jerky..
lower RPM from AC is your issue and nothing will change that. I have same issue, and I am thinking of swapping my Dogbone out in Summer.. I have new mounts to..

I used to have Massive dogbone bushings in my SVT, just keep using it and it will break in. I made the mistake of installing it in the winter when the poly was hard, I thought the car was going to fall apart. I tried it again in the spring and by summer it felt near stock. Sometimes there were a/c vibes at idle, but it just feels like an old auto Escort at idle without the a/c running...
I wore out the Massive bushings and I now I have "softer" Energy Suspension bushings that feel like already broken in Massive bushings. Foam, nylon... soft washers would be destroyed as soon as you go down the street. I always wondered if the metal sleeves could be made from Delrin, and would it last and make a difference in vibes?

So the bushings will break in?

Install solid motor mounts for a day, then switch back to the poly.

^Agreed run full solid for a year and a half, then drive some ones with full polys or even stock.
You will never complain about excess vibrations again. But you will miss the amazing response and the massage chair.

So mote be it

I dont even notice the vibrations from my VF dogbone...completely used to any additional vibrations it might have added.
I know CFM makes theirs with two different bushings; street and race. Perhaps their street is softer and might be a compromise for you? Although i dont know anyone that has gone from VF to CFM or vice-versa. |

Mine broke in after three months of driving. The worst vibes after it was broken in were from the steering column with a/c at idle.
Massive's bushings have the about same durometer (hardness) as CFM's race mount ES bushings are the same as a CFM street mount, if I would've known about durometers I would've went with ES bushings the first time.
