Anyone know of an easy way to fit a 10'' into the stock SVT enclosure? The stock enclosure fits an 8'' iirc..... Any manufacturers make adapters or something? Time to start googling!

I'm about to be trying the same thing. I got a shallow mount kenwood coming. I think I have the shallower box. Not afraid to mod it. I read somewhere that you can heat up the plastic and "push" it ut some for more clearance

I just had a MDF spacer made up at a local shop, (maybe 3/4" thick if I recall) and I run a normal sized 8" sub. I think I have the shallower box also.

I think that how-to for the 10" sub used a 10" diameter MDF spacer, and they clearanced the box where needed.

I was thinking about doing that...... creating 1 or 2 MDF 3/4'' spacers, I gotta measure the width of the internals for the sub though and see if it will fit in an 8'' hole. It's a prety beefy sub I got... rated to 800w RMS lol!

Is that necessary? definitely not.... why am I doing it? Because I can (most likely) lol!

Anyone have any other suggestions?

Also, does anyone know how much air space the stock box has?

i am trying to figure out how to build a custom sub 12inch box for my focus hatch like one speaker on each side so i still have enough room in my trunk any ideas?
