Waxing lights.?

Is it ok to put a coat of wax on the lights every once in a while? Or will they cloud?

I use a wax on my headlights and windows every other time I wax, as a form of sun protection.

Just be weary if your using a cleaner wax they some times have abrasives in them to remove grit and crap on paint that can micro scratch the lens. Personally knowing that pretty much all plastic headlamps seem to haze. I ordered laminex, my buddy is a re seller so I got it cheap. I still wax the laminex though just for some added sun protection.

Also incase some one asks waxing the windows is like RainX just without the name and price LOL

Ok thanks I will use rainx on front window and wax on others. I have both maguries ultimate and gold glass wax. I'll give it a try today when I clean it.

I had my last Ford for 13 years.. I used Rain X on the headlights. Worked pretty good. No clouding, but after ten years the surface of the lenses did get rather 'crazed' ( the internal structure if plastic you could see thousands of spider 'crack's)

For my 2012 Focus i bought a product like Rain X but just to protect lense plastic. It is another silicone type product.

I just claybar and waxed my car this last weekend. Used Gold Glass on my headlights as well. Helps get the bug guts off easier once they splat.

Use Wax only
Polish will damage the Headlamps

It always tells you not to use wax on plastic.
