Craig did you ever figure out how to get rid of the warning light?

if I had the time and effort to do this I would be all about it. Now if someone started making these and selling them, maybe even giving some $ back for core exchange... I would be all bout it.

If these headlights weren't such a pain in the ass to get open I would start doing these retros for people. I have done quite a few retros in the past and these have to be the hardest headlights to open of them all. I finished my retro using the same components as the OP, I'm just waiting on the harness and resistors from retro-solutions.

The core exchange idea is actually a great idea. The last forum I was on a guy did exactly that, he bought a few sets of headlights and retroed them, then did core exchanges on the ones he sold so he could replenish his stock, retro those, sell them... it was a continuous cycle and he made a good business out of it.

Thanks! This is what I was trying to achieve. I like it to look cool but also to look like it was made to be there.

Gotta say that I take it back about wanting to paint more of it black. That looks pretty OEM like Altis said. Who knows, maybe doing something with the shroud could be cool, but they look plenty nice to me.

I think it looks great! I think the shroud either black or body color to match your car would look cool as well.

No. I seen that other members have had luck with Retro Solutions products to keep the Warning Light off in the HID Thread, but I figured I would be a lab rat for The Retrofit Source's products since I didn't seen anyone else using their HID kits. Figured I would tread into the unknown to help everyone out.

Exactly. I thought about it, but I don't have the patience or the time for it.

I am glad to see someone else tackling this job as well. So far I think I am the only one with Projectors in a 3rd Gen Focus. I look forward to hearing about your adventure with the headlights and seeing your final product. I hope I helped out some.

What Craig has done is spend a whole bunch of time, money, and effort, to create a proper HID lighting setup with proper HID projectors. That's what this thread is about.

Not intending to offend, but blinding the living heck out of everyone isn't quite the goal on topic here.

There is still a difference between halogen projectors and HID projectors, as I found out with a kit on my previous Mazda3. Works much better than multireflectors, but still appears quite a bit brighter than HID projectors. Ford needs to offer HIDs with projectors on more Foci than just the ST3!

They do, but only on the FFE and the ST3 in the U.S. and Canadian markets. FFE being the Ford Focus Electric, a car that while has been in production for 1 full model year hasn't sold that well, because they were only really building them as compliance cars as far as I can tell, but it does drive really nice, just like a Focus but heavier and with more torque off the line, quite limited range however.

I forgot (as I always do) about the Electric. I was referring to making them available on the Titanium, and possibly on the SE... I mean, if people are willing to pay, why stop them?
