autoX hard turn sputter
2005 ZX4 ST. When I exit a hard turn during one of our local autoX events the car sputters. It is much like when you turn on the traction control and try to get up a slippery snowy road. I've been slipping the clutch to increase the revs, but it really dosn't feel like engine lugging. I don't think I'm fast enough to cause any fuel or oil starvation issues, so I'm a bit puzzled. When driving around town I/we have absolutly no issues. .....and the traction control is always off.
Ideas? Thanks |

If you're doing Auto-X at much more than a walking pace (grin) you CAN have fuel or oil starvation issues.....
you can't lighten the car by running TOO low a fuel level or you'll run into THAT problem, and it's good to have the oil right at the high mark to help prevent starvation while making SURE it's not overfilled either. THAT causes it's own set of issues.... Luck! |

My 2000 zx3 would sputter around hard right hand turns if I didnt have enough fuel in it.. Probably the same for you.
