Thanks for the confirmation. Glad to see someone else who's played around with octanes is seeing similar behavior.

I'm guessing the Michigan norm of setting the cruise to 79 MPH doesn't help.
Ha, yeah. I set the cruise at 65 as much as possible. This car is really sensitive to MPH once you start moving beyond that.

I still averaged about 37 MPG on a tank that included a chunk of miles blowing down 696 at 80+ MPH last month, though. Not too shabby!

So far I have 4300km on my new 2012 Titanium and I am beyond pleased with Sync and everything else with the car, so far no issues reported. No reboots, no connection issues (except bluetooth on a rare occasion)
Indeed, I can't lay all the blame on MFT. I've taken to rebooting my phone every couple days and that seems to help with some of the weird BT issues.

The FE meter said he was getting 41.0 MPG. When I was driving I set the cruise at 72 MPH (still getting passed by everyone and their Grandma) and I was getting 38.3 MPG. I imagine 79 - 80 MPH and you will be down in the 34-35 MPG area.

470.1 miles/11.176 gallons at about 65 mph without cruise control heading down to Cincinnati and back on 9/15-9/16/12. That was with three people in the car (although the weight of nearly 4 plus over night bags). I had to stop once on the way down for breakfast, then the other half of the trip down was done in one direction. Then getting semi stuck in the parking garage at the end of the event, then driving to the hotel, parking and then parking again ( moving nearer to the room), then breakfast the next day, and back towards home the next day. Made it from home to Cincinnati and back to Toledo on one tank of fuel. 16" alloy wheels, DCT hatch. The F.E. meter said I was getting 41.4 mpg by the end of the tank, but it kept climbing even as I was climbing back uo hill. Passing cars at 70 occasionally, and other times having to slow down to 45-55 mph.

My brother and I road tripped ~2000 miles and were getting 38-39mpg at 70-80mph. If I travel between 55-65 I will see 40+
