LED Switchback Wiring Help

I looked for a walk-through and could not find one. I don't have much wiring expirience. From what I understand you need to tap into the wire that makes the turn signal blink, through the resistor, and then tap in to the ground to make a loop.

Which wires are which? There is a yellow w/ purple stripe, purple w/ white stripe, and a black. Also, what should I use to "tap into" the wires? If someone has a picture it would be a really big help.

It does't look that waterproof, but what ever. Now all I need to know which wire is which. Also, where did you guys mount the resistors? I heard they can get pretty hot.

The turn signal and ground wire are the two outer wire on the plug. the middle wire is for the parking light.

Thanks a lot. It is so hot though I may have to wait a couple days to put them in. Those things are a pain to get out and I don't want to be dripping sweat all over everything.

Random question kind of related to this, if you had the led tails would you need the resistors at all? Either in the front or back or both? Hope the op doesn't mind me asking in his thread

i have led tails and no resistors up front:) i have no hyper flash either, i contacted v-leds (where i bought mine from) and they told me that in theory my outcome was possible since the tails come prewired with resistors already. people kinda bugged out on me here and said that it wasn't possible and it would burn my bulbs out faster, but they are easy enough to replace if they ever go bad:) so heed their warnings and proceed as you see fit!
