Any way to turn cargo lights off

Does anyone know of a way to turn the cargo lights off when the rear hatch is open? They do not shut off when the dome lights are turned off and I cannot find any information in the owners manual.

Disconnect them. Pull the bulbs.

They do shut off by themselves after about 5 or 10min of leaving the hatch open just like the parking lights. Mayb u can find the hatch open sensor and stop them that way.

Or to completely disable them do as Beta suggested, remove the bulbs.

I did not know this. I tried leaving the hatch open for a while but I guess I didn't try for long enough.

If that doesn't work, the bulbs will be yanked.

^ oh it does work, a good 5-10 mins, didn't sit there with a stop watch, but they do turn off.
