Funny how manufacturers will offer a really useful feature or option for a few years, and then not offer it anymore. I suppose what seems useful to one person, is a waste to others. Can't please everybody I suppose. As for me, I have appreciated the window down fob capability in previous cars (Lincoln, Honda, one other I can't remember), and would find it useful if it was still offered. Ditto for tilting headrests (which I understand have recently been re-introduced for the Focus), and dash-mounted hatch release button.

Noles1983 -

I'd always recommend driving 2-3 minutes with the windows slightly cracked at first. This will improve A/C cool down time. Check it out in the 2012 Focus owner's manual (5th print, pg. 118): https://owner.ford.com/servlet/Conte...OwnerGuidePage.

ross smith -

Sweet; send this feature our way!

GN Prime and Noles1983 -

I can think of some other reasons, too. Noles1983, My thoughts exactly!

dyn085 -

If you're interested in this feature, I recommend visiting your dealer to see if/how it can be set up.

I wouldn't mind it being on my Focus. Please remember to submit this idea to our Ford Social site: http://social.ford.com/.

Take care,

Thomas
Comment left and I will see my dealer about this, seems like a rather easy thing to program into the remote

I'm trying to +1 the comments that the people above have left on ford social, but I can't find them. Everybody else should +1 these comments too.

What sort of wording/title did you use in your title?

I'm also contacting my dealer to figure out how to get this added. I'm guessing they won't know how too though.

I am wondering how a dealership would be able to program this functionality, when it wasn't there by default. Do any dealership have the ability to reprogram a car and they way the features work?

Hey guys not 100% but I am pretty sure that the dealer could do something. Here is why I think this. I have a Jeep liberty with after-market car starter in it and the installers at future shop offered to add the "all open/all closed" feature to the windows for an extra $75 or so I never got it but it was something that they could do...So if they can do it after-market and they weren't even Jeep.

I hope the dealer isn't going to charge for a feature that's standard in other countries. I guess we'll find out.

I know on motorcycles, in europe ABS is standard on all bikes ... not the case here in the states.
So what happens over the pond, doesnt always happen here ... Like the RS Focus :-(

Correct on the head restraints! Totally agree with everyone on the remote-window feature. Glad to see everybody using Ford Social to submit this idea.

MyThIc3LiTe and skiboarder119 -

Please let us all know what the verdicts are. Each dealer is best to inspect its functionality and provide an answer.

This is why your dealer is best to provide an answer. It would be brilliant to include; looking forward to cooling my ride down before I ride off into the sunset.

Refreshing to my ears and eyes! I know what I'll be checking into next week.

Focus YBTC -

I'm sure there will be a charge if the dealer can do this.

Here's hoping our Focus windows have the opportunity to open up at the touch of a FOB button.

Later,

Thomas
