Best clutch kit brand

Hello all

Am new here so don't know if this is the correct place to post this, My car will soon need the clutch replaced and there are a lot of different brands and price ranges out there. I'd just like to know you guys could give me any help pointing me towards brands to go for and ones to stay away from.

I would go stock if you don't race the car. My stock clutch had some life left at 125k miles and had "Sach's" stamped on it. There's one good factory replacement brand.

Personally, I went with a Luk factory replacement kit and Fidanza aluminum flywheel 20k miles ago and love it.

^^^ I agree. if you don't have any major mods done to the car and not auto x'ing or drag racing you will be fine with a stock clutch.

thanks for the input :) I have been looking at Luk replacement kits they seem to be very well priced. my car has 93k miles on it but the bite point on the pedal is high so am guessing its time for a clutch replacement :(

I don't know what kind of options you guys have for the 1.6's over there, but Exedy is supposed to be good. I have a stage 1 exedy kit with lightweight flywheel, and the clutch engages super fast, and the RPMS wind up even faster. Its fun, but not what I'd recommend if you ever sit in rush hour traffic. By the time I get to work every morning, my knee is pretty sore.

Sounds like something a could do in a years time :) trying to keep my car stock as much as possible until my insurance goes down in price, its a real killer at my age :(
